S. Adam Ramin, M.D. Dr. Ramin graduated from UCLA in 1990 with Bachelor of Science degrees in Biochemistry and Philosophy. Having graduated from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, he pursued Urological Surgery residency at Loma Linda University from 1994 to 2000. He subsequently completed fellowship training in Urological Oncology and Laparoscopic Urology at City of Hope National Medical Center. After fellowship, Dr. Ramin joined the faculty at City of Hope as Assistant Professor of Surgery. In this capacity, Dr. Ramin was among the first few surgeons in the United States that started to perform Robotic Assisted Laparoscopic Prostatectomy using the Da-Vinci robotic system. Dr. Ramin embraced this technology as a major advancement in minimally invasive surgery for patients with prostate cancer. Having performed hundreds of laparoscopic and robotic procedures for prostate cancer, Dr. Ramin is able to provide patients curative surgery that is extremely precise, preserves sexual function, has minimal blood loss, minimal pain and quick recovery. As an expert in Prostate Cancer and Robotic Laparoscopic Prostatectomy, Dr. Ramin has published numerous peer review articles and research papers on prostate cancer. He has trained numerous urologists in techniques of minimally invasive laparoscopy and robotic surgery. Dr. Ramin is on staff at a number of prestigious medical centers where he performs Robotic Laparoscopic Prostatectomy, including Cedars Sinai Medical Center, Century City Doctors Hospital, and City of Hope Medical Center. He is the President of the Los Angeles County Urological Association. |
